There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to explore the possibility of therapy with me. Hopefully, this page along with the rest of the information on my website will give you a good sense about who I am and whether I am the right therapist for you.

Whether you are contemplating it for the very first time or returning to it after a break, therapy can be a transformative and powerful way to explore your current issues as well as deepen your understanding of yourself and the forces that have shaped you as a person. Even if you are facing no immediate emotional difficulties, it can be a useful resource to help you live a better, more fulfilled life or make better choices.

It is also fair to say that, far from the quick fix or the panacea to all life’s problems which is how therapy is usually portrayed in the media, it is often rather a slow process that requires time, commitment, and perseverance for it to bear its golden fruits.

In our work together, I hold a supportive, contained, and safe space within which to explore what might feel difficult, unsafe or troublesome, whether in the past or at this very moment in your life. As I listen attentively to you, I aim to understand and connect with my mind and heart to your story, giving you room to bring and share all aspects of yourself and feelings – your grief, loss, heartbreak, betrayal, despair, anger, disappointment, shame as well as your longings, dream, hopes, yearnings and joy - at a pace that feels right for you.

Our sessions can help you process any major trauma or residue from the past, develop new coping strategies, be inquisitive, experiment with new ways of experiencing yourself and being with others, and develop more fulfilling relationships. My commitment to you is that I will be walking alongside you in a respectful, empathic, and non-judgmental way.

Therapy is a collaborative process based on progressively increasing openness, trust, and authentic dialogue. I maintain a creative and respectful tension between empathic support and challenge to allow for change to happen, while honouring your autonomy and difference.

I work relationally, seeing the quality of the rapport between us as the primary vehicle for helping you address your difficulties. It also means that I do not hide behind a professional mask, rather I seek to meet you authentically as a human being.
